My Friday finish is a quilt I made for this cabin It is from a Minnesota designer Terry Atkinson and the name of the pattern is Minnesota Hot Dish Every year there is a big shop hop in Minnesota and line of fabric is designed just for the shop hop Gently used Minnesota Hot Dish book containing 4 different fat quarter quilts and each design has 4 different sizes to choose from Book also contains many popular Minnesota recipes Each quilt pattern has photos of the completed quilt with illustrated and written instructions 28 pages

This week s free block tutorial is the Minnesota Quilt Block This quilt block combines both paper piecing and traditional piecing I made my block using the old templates the new one doesn t include a center diamond you can choose whichever set you would rather make Minnesota Hot Dish Finished Flimsy This is my queen sized version of Terry Atkinson s Minnesota Hot Dish This quilt is now finished to the flimsy stage and has moved to the waiting to be quilted pile This is a copy of the pattern jacket I believe this pattern is now out of print
